The Mackie Reach breaks new ground in sound reinforcement. With 180 degrees of dispersion, one unit can cover twice the area of a normal speaker. The built-in DSP and mixer make this a truly pro-level portable sound system.

The Mackie Reach has been a great success in our target market. It was recognized at an industry event (NAMM) as "Best in Show." Users love the ability to mix remotely via app, as well as the wide angle dispersion of sound.
Very rough and quick hand sketching to find the basic form and message of the technology inside. I wanted to convey a sleek, professional appearance while providing an appearance of quality sound.
Sketches are imported and refined in CAD. Many basic sketch models were created and rendered for review by company stakeholders.
Here is an example of sketch modeling with plasticine to quickly decide if the design was headed in a productive direction. Making this mockup provided me with important measurements that I could take into CAD and further refine.
